Man pours hot water on wife in Ondo
After being bathed with hot water by her husband, a middle-aged woman is currently battling with her life in Owo, the headquarters of Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The victim’s husband was to have attacked her and poured hot water on her.
Iyanu Oluwaseun, the victim, is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Owo, Owo Local Government.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Betty Akeredolu, the First Lady of Ondo State, has sworn to seek justice for the victim.
Mrs. Akeredolu, who called the incident “bestial” and “intolerable,” said it was a despicable conduct that could not be condoned under any circumstances
.
According to a statement signed by the Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media and Archives, Debo Akinbami, individuals who engage in such terrible behaviour under whatever excuse, according to the Ondo First Lady, do not deserve to live among humanity,
The First Lady, who spoke through Akinbami, claimed that the issue was being handled by the Ondo State Agency Against Gender-Based Violence to guarantee that justice was done.
