  Buhari approves creation of farm estates in 108 senatorial districts 5 September The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari(retd.) has directed the National Agricultural Land Development Authority to set up integrated farm estates in all 108 senatorial districts nationwide. Consequently, the Executive Secretary of NALDA, Paul Ikonne, has called on state governors to key into the President’s desire to avail lands for the establishment of farm estates. The scheme is aimed at engaging youths to achieve food security in the shortest possible time. Ikonne revealed this to State House correspondents on Sunday after meeting with the President at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. He said that the Kogi State government has donated 700 hectares of land to NALDA for the integrated land estate, while the 100 hectares of land donated by the Ogun State government has already been cleared.   Buhari mourns legendary singer ‘Forest’ 5 September 2021 President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed sadness over the demise of a legendary poet and singer, Muhammadu Ishaq, popularly called Forest, on Saturday. The president’s condolence was contained in a message issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, in Abuja on Sunday. He recalled the last visit to him by “Forest” on the occasion of the last Sallah in Daura during which issues of his health were extensively discussed. “His passing away is a loss to our party, All Progressives Congress, which he vigorously marketed, using his unparalleled talent as a singer. “His death is also a loss to the Hausa society and our cultural world at large. He will be remembered as a poetic legend,” he said. The president expressed his condolences to his family, friends and innumerable admirers across generations who were enthralled by his brilliant political songs. (NAN)

Boma evicted from BBNaija show 5 September 2021 Boma Boma has been evicted from Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye season. In tonight’s eviction tagged ‘Kingsize Eviction’, Tega, Peace, and Michael were also evicted. Boma is the male housemate who kissed and spanked Tega, the only married female housemate in the show, leading to outrage on social media. The incident happened on Saturday, Day 42 of the show, when Boma and Tega were in the executive lounge. With the both of them alone, Boma spanked the mother-of-one and soon, the duo started kissing passionately. Speaking after his eviction, Boma said he tried as much as he could to avoid ladies in the show. The evicted housemate said he possibly had an intimate relationship with Tega because her bed was closest to his. “I know myself. I tried not to be stuck with anyone. Tega is amazing, cool,” he said. After the show, Boma said he would continue with his projects, one of which is on mental health.
