He was accused of spraying Naira notes during a social event on February 13, 2024, at Eko Hotel in Lagos.  ADVERTISEMENT It was claimed that he dispersed N500 notes for two hours, tampering with funds issued by the CBN.

Cubana chief priest (Encomium) The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is set to arraign popular Instagram celebrity Pascal Okechukwu also known as Cubana Chief Priest for allegedly abusing the naira at a social event. The EFCC has filed a three-count charge against Okechukwu, who will be arraigned on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, before  Justice Kehinde Ogundare  of the Federal High Court, Lagos. According to Channels TV, the charge was filed on April 4 by the EFFC’s prosecutor,  Rotimi Oyedepo (SAN) alongside seven other lawyers representing the chairman of the commission. The spokesperson for the anti-graft agency, Dele Oyewale, in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja, said the commission had summoned the proprietors of private universities and other schools charging tuition in dollars. The naira has been on a free fall against the dollar in the past weeks with the currency losing value against the greenback. In the past weeks, the naira had plunged from about 900/dollar to over 1,400/dollar at the official market.
